review: ossium by batbites

4/11/26

keen readers may look at the sizing i post on batbites' ossium and raise their eyebrows, because demon dick or not, i am no size king. this was a unique opportunity to 1: try a model i was curious about and 2: try a size out of my comfort range, so... (drumroll)

my ossium, which is green, gold, and silver marbled

  • MATERIAL: platinum cure silicone
  • FIRMNESS: soft (00-30)
  • DURABILITY RATING: 4.5/5 (i do not fear harming this)
  • SIZE: medium (6" usable length, 3.5" - 4.25" circum insertable, 7" circum knot)

  • first of all: i received ossium as a gift from a friend who ordered two of them in a drop pour by mistake! so if you're wondering how the fuck notable anti-size-king can't-fit-more-than-5"-circum got a medium, this is how! i believe i was told the drop color was "tinsel" and it looks to be a marble of teal and gold? i did not pay for this dong though.

i had been interested more in batbites' packers range - their beau's sheath is currently a bit of a white whale for me, and i want beau's shaft as well to go with it eventually - but the vampiric wraith-demon theming of ossium did deeply appeal to me. so when i was offered a chance to own and try the model even if it was bigger than my typical size range, i couldn't help myself, lol. batbites in general has a lot of very interesting models to me as a horror and eldritch horror enthusiast, and some of their upcoming models i definitely hope to own whenever they release!

the same, but from the top

    in use:

so, let's get this out of the way: i cannot knot medium ossium. i have done *a lot* of testing, i assure you; more lube than i usually use, long sessions, etc. however, the 7" knot is FAR out of my comfort range size-wise and i was fully aware of this going into it, so unfortunately i cannot attest to how well the medium size on ossium knots. the knot is oblong and wider along the vertical axis (tip facing up/down) than the horizontal axis (left and right side when the tip is facing up), and the feeling of it hitting my entrance is fucking amazing; if you typically prefer taking 6" width or larger, i can see the knot working very well for you!

tragically, this is not the case for me, but i do love the curve and swell on ossium's shaft, so i honestly very well might get ossium again in a size XS in the future so i can knot it. hoo.

ossium has a curved, textured tip that feels rather pointed, which i enjoy HEAVILY, and it quickly tapers into a swell before the knot that feels fantastic even without knotting the damn thing. i will note that without being able to knot ossium, the usable total length goes down to roughly 4.25" -- long enough and curved/varied enough i can still cum from it, but the shortest total insertable in my collection easily. granted, the combination of the curved tip, curved swell, and feeling the knot hit my entrance repeatedly still does the job pretty damn well, but i hesitate to say that it's as easy as a normal insertable in my size range for me.

ultimately, i kind of enjoy leaving it inserted and using a vibe (rare for me); i definitely think i will be getting an ossium in a proper size range for myself in the future! i really enjoy the bit of texture on the swell a lot. i don't reach for it that often, though - a combination of being more into rougher penetration and a bit more length than this can offer without the knot just means i mostly save it for fantasy play of something far too big for me trying to fuck me.

honestly, i wish i had more to say - this model is very pretty but the size range makes it a wash trying to review this in any deeper detail. the base of this model has to be one of the most ergonomic bases for gripping i've tried, at least? big fan of it.

finally, a quick note on batbites: i had a much longer spiel here originally, but decided to trim it for the time being - i've been told a lot of orders from batbites in the past few months have been having some strange mail issues, at least going to canada (since my husband is canadian, a lot of my fellow sex toy enthusiasts are actually canadian). additionally, my husband received an aux minipen as a gift, and that mould in specific appears to have multiple mould flaws such as bubbles on the entrance area silicone and fingerprint-like textures randomly on the inside texture at the entrance tunnel.

i adore batbites' models to death (forever salty i missed their frday the 13th pour), but they seem to have some ongoing issues that have affected a few people i know who are regular customers. just something to be aware of, since their drops are hypercompetitive and require being in the discord to even have a tiny chance of snagging a drop - i feel like going through all of that and then getting an issue as such would be catastrophically annoying if it catches you unaware.

    overall:

i like ossium! i think the model is beautiful, and i think i'll probably try to pick up one in an appropriate sizing for me in the future. i wish i was able to knot this model and when i do get a smaller version, i'll probably do an updated review for it.

    PROS:
    ♡ oblong knot
♡ good texture on the swell & tip
    ♡ pours are beautiful
♡ big base for ease of gripping purposes

    CONS:
♡ i've been told maker has been having consistency problems as of late
♡ size range is brutal (this is a medium, mind you)
