welcome back everybody! my yearly tradition of skipping january to rest over, let us resume music. hopefully yall had a less chaotic january than a lot of my friends 💀

bro i have been waiting for this album with held fucking breath as yall know and it did NOT fucking disappoint. this easily dethrones another light as my fave red vox album and im waiting for the vinyl press like a fucking game release queue. this is their most consistent sound in years and has a really nice polish on the og WCGW era sound. brother made me fucking cry. 10/10
GHOST ft. kevin synthv -- covetous
oh hey a new GHOST&p drop holy shit. while im going to be brutally honest and say this is one of their weakest songs in a while
musically, this song is visceral and the lyrics are fucking powerful. its very hard for me to give any sort of other meaningful criticism. this song
should exist in whatever form it needs to. i do hope for more releases from GHOST&p this year with maybe more DEX or Vflower but hey happy valentines...??
FLAVOR FOLEY ft. kagamine len & rin -- ego renegade boy
i havent had a song possess me with the urge to cover it this badly since fucking 2013
no i actually dont know what to say. the song is amazing. having a vocaloid song about the transmasc experience and also the transmasc urge to kill your past self and make her a fucking cold case is not something i ever thought i would get. the tuning to make them legible is shocking, actually - i do NOT like the cryptonloids tuned eng from their jpn bank, but this is probably the best ive ever heard them sound. the usage of rin as lens pretransition self is fucking inspired. also this is named EXACTLY like vocaloid songs from the golden days and the nostalgia hits particularly hard, as the og golden era of vocaloid was also coincidentally when my egg was cracking. 10/10 flavor foley Does It Again and their upcoming album is shaping up to have not nearly as many misses as cardiac contrapointe did for me...
