robin hearts - dogsongs
i met these folks at howl and i was really impressed with their sound!! they have a very folk punk sound with a lot of focus on gay therian shit and i fuckng looooooove it. honorable mention to never enough from flight/fall that song has me by the fucking throat dude
tame impala - deadbeat
i feel like i have a love hate relationship with every tame impala album and i wish i knew why, dude. i really like dracula off this album but like every tame impala album i like 2-3 songs max and fucking despise the rest. one day
the mountain goats - through this fire across from peter balkan
this is such an interesting experimental album and i kind of love it in a weird way? john darnielle makes music with religious overtones that doesnt feel like a hate crime to me. i know im going to admit a sin here but musically i do not despise LMM's work, i DO feel like it clashes pretty blatantly with TMG's usual musical style here but i am not a hater entirely. i am not as big of a fan of this as i was jenny from thebes but thats fine, i do really like this album anyways
